Intermediate Jazz is designed for dancers with some prior experience in jazz dance who are ready to expand their technique and repertoire. This class builds upon fundamental jazz movements and combinations, focusing on more intricate footwork, isolations, and stylized movements characteristic of jazz dance. Students will refine their musicality, body awareness, and performance quality through a variety of choreographic sequences that challenge agility, coordination, and flexibility. Emphasis is placed on developing strength, endurance, and expression while exploring different styles within the jazz genre, from Broadway jazz to contemporary jazz influences. This class is ideal for dancers looking to elevate their skills and artistry in a dynamic and supportive atmosphere. This class will perform in our Nutcracker production and Spring recital.
