Matilda the Musical
Do you want to bring Matilda's magical world to life? Join us for Matilda the Musical! We're looking for talented performers ages 10 through adult! Whether you're an experienced actor or new to the stage, this is your chance to shine. Come prepared to sing, act, and show off your personality for a role in this exciting production. Rehearsals will be a mix of Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (not everyone is called every rehearsal. A rehearsal schedule will be made after auditions when conflicts are turned in. Most rehearsals will be on Mondays.

Mean Girls Jr.

This production class is designed for aspiring performers, creatives, and fans of the Plastics and the North Shore High School drama. Acro Dance
Acro Dance combines classical dance techniques with acrobatic elements, creating a dynamic and expressive form of movement. This class focuses on developing strength, flexibility, balance, and agility through a progressive series of exercises and skills. Students will learn acrobatic tricks such as cartwheels, backbends, handstands, and aerials, which are seamlessly integrated with dance steps and choreography. Emphasis is placed on proper technique, safety, and body awareness, ensuring students learn in a supportive and structured environment. Acro Dance enhances overall athleticism and coordination, making it suitable for dancers looking to expand their skills and creativity through a blend of dance and acrobatics.

Ballet I
Designed for beginners or those with minimal ballet experience. This class focuses on building a solid foundation in classical ballet technique through a structured progression of exercises at the barre and in the center. Students will learn basic ballet vocabulary, proper body alignment, coordination, and musicality. Emphasis is placed on developing strength, flexibility, and grace in movement. This class is ideal for anyone new to ballet or looking to refine their fundamental skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.
This class will perform in a winter and spring recital.

Ballet II
A comprehensive class designed to establish a strong foundation in ballet technique while accommodating both beginner and intermediate level students. This class combines grace, discipline, and elegance of ballet with an emphasis on technical development, musicality, and artistic expression. Students will focus on solid ballet vocabulary and mastering fundamental ballet movements, positions, and terminology. Through structured exercises, barre work, center work, and across-the-floor combinations participants will develop strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness. This class also emphasizes proper alignment and posture to enchance the quality and precision of movement. This class will peform in the winter and spring recital.

An intermediate/advaned level class designed to challenge and further develop the technique, artistry, and physical abilities of dedicated ballet students. This class builds upon the foundational skills established in previous levels, offering a more demanding and nuanced curriculum that delves deeper into the intricacies of classical ballet. Students will refine their technique, expand their vocabulary, and focus on strength, flexibility, and artistic expression. Through a combination of barre exercises, center work, adagio, allegro, and calssical variations, participants will advance their skills and stage presence perparing them for higher levels of ballet training. This class will perform in the winter and spring recitals.

This class will perform in our winter Nutcracker production and spring recital.

Hip Hop III
Hip Hop III is an advanved class that builds upon the foundational skills learned in previous levels. Students must be 13 years to take class (or a minimum of 3 years of Hip Hop) This class focuses on developing more complex choreography, rhythmic accuracy, and expressive movement within the hip hop style. Students will continue to refine their technique, musicality, and performance quality through dynamic combinations and freestyle exercises. Emphasis is placed on building strength, stamina, and agility while exploring various sub-genres of hip hop dance. This class is ideal for dancers who have mastered basic hip hop techniques and are looking to further develop their skills in a fun and energetic environment. This class will perform in our Nutcracker production and Spring recital.

Music Theatre Jazz
An exhilarating class that immerses students in the world of Music Theatre and Broadway-style dance. Geared towards performers with a passion for musical theatre, this class focuses on developing the skills, technique, and artistry required to excel in dance within the context of Broadway productions. Students will explore various dance styles commonly found in musical theatre, including jazz, tap, and character dance. Through choreographed routines, character development exercises, and performance coaching, participants will enhance their dance abilities, stage presence, storytelling, and versatility as performers. This class will perform in our Nutcracker production and Spring recitals.

Scene Stealers: Intermediate Acting Techniques
This class is designed for actors who have some previous experience and are ready to deepen their understanding and mastery of theatrical performance. This class focuses on refining acting techniques and exploring more advanced aspects of character development, scene analysis, and emotional depth.
Throughout the course, students will engage in a variety of exercises and scene work that challenge them to explore complex characters, relationships, and situations. Emphasis is placed on developing authenticity, nuance, and dynamic storytelling through voice, movement, and gesture.
Participants will also delve into techniques such as subtext exploration, ensemble work, and improvisation, enhancing their ability to connect with scene partners and captivate audiences

Stagecraft: Beginning Acting Essentials
This class introduces participants to the fundamental principles of acting for the stage. This class is designed for individuals with little to no prior acting experience who are eager to explore the art of performance in a supportive environment.
Throughout the course, students will delve into essential acting techniques such as character development, vocal projection, physicality, and improvisation. Through a series of exercises, scene work, and monologue study, participants will learn how to analyze scripts, embody different characters, and convey emotions effectively on stage.
Emphasis is placed on building confidence, presence, and stage awareness through practical exercises and constructive feedback from experienced instructors. Whether you aspire to perform in plays, improve your public speaking skills, or simply explore the world of acting, this class will provide a solid foundation in theatrical techniques.

An introductory class focused on mastering fundamental dance skills. Through guided instruction, students will develop a strong foundation, learning core principles, techniques, and best practices. The class provides a supportive environment for honing abilities, fostering creativity, and enhancing overall proficiency. No experience required. Build confidence, skills, and prepare for further advancement in the technique. This class does not perform in the recitals.
